The location was great and made it easy to explore the charming coastal town. Breakfast was a standout, beautifully presented and delicious. However, the room's carpet was stained, and I prefer updated mattresses. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Stay in the Bessie Strauss Room boasts breathtaking ocean views and the comfiest bed you can imagine. The atmosphere is cozy with charming decor, perfect for a couple's getaway, complemented by a rich breakfast that kicks off your day just right.
A few minor plumbing issues with the toilet slightly affected our comfort, but nothing that ruined the overall experience. In the Two-Bedroom Cottage, the main bedroom lacks comfy seating options, making it awkward to get around. The outdoor deck could really use an umbrella for that relentless sun, and some cushy seating or cushions for the kitchen table wouldn’t hurt either.

The warm welcome and cozy ambiance stood out, along with the delightful breakfast served in-room, which was a real treat. However, the bed could use a comfort upgrade, and there were some minor cleanliness concerns to note. Overall, a charming experience in Mendocino.

missingWrote a review on 27 Maydelightful breakfastcozy ambianceconfusing processodd locationlack of furniture
The cozy ambiance provided a perfect escape, with a delightful breakfast that surpassed expectations. The attention to dietary preferences made the dining experience exceptional. However, check-in was a bit confusing as I received messages too late to assist me, and the proximity of the room in a different building felt odd at first. A lack of outdoor furniture on the deck reduced usability, especially given the chilly weather.

I absolutely loved my stay! The breakfasts were a delightful treat delivered right to my room, and I enjoyed sipping coffee on the private terrace as I soaked up the fresh air and lovely garden views. The only hiccup was the bathroom being a tad tight on space, but it didn’t dampen my experience at all. 😊

A better bathroom counter would enhance functionality!!! The uninviting back door entry to the room needs a more welcoming touch!!! The mattress quality could definitely use an upgrade, and Wi-Fi could be unreliable at peak times!!!
